DIBS, being one of the largest exhibitions for luxury yachts and marine equipment, attracts more and more lovers of luxury lifestyle every year. The number of luxury yacht owners is expected to rise as spring 2017 approaches, due to a government plan to create the largest marina in the Middle East along the coastline of Dubai, as well as the construction of a waterway through the city itself. In addition, the 20 million square foot Dubai Harbor project includes the construction of a 135-meter Dubai Lighthouse tower, which will house a luxury hotel and observation deck, a 150,000 square foot cruise ship terminal capable of accommodating 6,000 passengers, as well as yacht club, shopping center and fashion boutiques. This ambitious project will take at least four years to complete, but investors are confident that it will strengthen Dubai's reputation as a global tourist destination and further increase the region's popularity in the international market.
