At the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center (Moscow) the second International Complex Exhibition of Shipbuilding, Use and Research of Water Resources "World Ocean 2012" will be held.
This project is unique, as it allows to demonstrate all aspects of maritime activities at one exhibition site, representing both science and production. In addition, the exposition is designed to draw the attention of the international business community to the latest developments in various fields of research, use and protection of the World Ocean and the development of the coastal zone.
The event is organized with the support of the Maritime Board of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The organizers of the exhibition aim to support and develop high-tech developments in Russia, development in the field of innovative cooperation and industrial cooperation with foreign developers and manufacturers.
The exhibition will introduce the guest to leading Russian and foreign companies in various fields: the study, development and use of the resources of the World Ocean, its flora and fauna.
The exhibition includes the following sections:
- Shipbuilding and shipping
- Submarine machinery and equipment
- Water sports and recreation
- Aquatic bioresources and aquaculture
- Oceanology and resources of the World Ocean
- Oil and gas production on the continental shelf
- Hydrometeorological support of human activities in the World Ocean

The leitmotif of the multifaceted business program of the World Ocean 2012 exposition is the task was to improve the maritime industry market, implement innovative projects in the development of the resources of the World Ocean, control the environmental situation and natural and man-made emergencies, as well as the development of maritime transport communications.
Among the main topics of round tables and seminars will be discussed the possibilities of large-capacity shipbuilding in Russia; offshore exploration, development of the Russian continental shelf, ways of production and transportation of hydrocarbons; development of the Northern Sea Route, which is of interest for the cargo transportation sector; new projects and solutions of Russian and foreign banks in lending to the shipbuilding industry; formation of a coordinated policy regarding the problem of sunken ships of various times, flooded parking lots, settlements, ports, hydraulic structures, etc.
The exhibition will be complemented by the participation of marine painters, famous travelers and sailors, as well as other representatives of the creative intelligentsia.
Guests of the exhibition will have the opportunity to take part in an educational and entertainment program, which will consist of competitions and diving in the pool installed in the Crocus Expo hall.
II International Exhibition "World Ocean 2012" opens to the public on November 29 and will last until December 1, 2012:
- November 29 from 10.00 to 18.00,
- November 30 from 10.00 to 18.00,
- December 1 from 10.00 to 17.00.
