At Sanlorenzo Viareggio launches superyacht SD112 Kathleen – an exclusive collaboration between Sanlorenzo and design studio Citterio Viel, the first time in the yachting arena.
Co-owner of Citterio Viel studio – world famous Italian furniture and interior designer Antonio Citterio. His works were included in the exposition of the New York Museum of Modern Art and the Pampidou Center in Paris. Among his projects in Russia, the most famous are Barvikha Hotel & SPA (2009) and the Barvikha concert hall (2009) in Moscow, W Hotel in St. Petersburg (2011), at the moment work is underway on the Bulgari Hotel project in Moscow (delivery in 2019).< /p>
Citterio Viel's debut in the yachting industry has been fueled by Sanlorenzo's continued commitment to constantly pushing the limits of customization on yachts, regardless of size. The shipyard is known for collaborating with the best brands in contemporary interior design, taking on board both well-known companies and individual designers invited by customers. Sanlorenzo is one of the few shipyards in the world that welcomes the involvement of third-party designers in the construction process to achieve an even higher level of customization.
Custom built for a Scottish couple, Sanlorenzo SD112 Kathleen has received a complete deck layout overhaul. As a result, the upper deck has been transformed into two dining areas, indoor and outdoor, while the main deck is dedicated to relaxation and entertainment. The master cabin has also undergone dramatic changes. This project is exclusive and, of the 9 released hulls of the SD112 model, it was implemented only once for the yacht Kathleen. However, making such dramatic changes to the original design is not unique, as Sanlorenzo is renowned for its extremely flexible attitude towards optimizing space according to the wishes of the customers.
