In general, yachts and aircraft are connected only by the fact that they can be afforded in private property only for the very rich. But the designer Elken Okturi (Yelken Octuri) created a project for an unusual vehicle Octuri Wind Powered Yacht, which will be both a yacht and an airplane.
Elken Okturi is already known to us for his other futuristic transport project.
I must say that Okturi is clearly progressing in his fantasy! After all, Octuri Wind Powered Yacht – no less daring, but, as it seems to us, a more realistic project. It does not involve space travel. It involves just flying.
True, these flights will need to be carried out on a yacht. After all, according to Elken Okturi, there is a lot in common between the wings of an airplane and the sails of a yacht. So why not combine them into a single tool to propel a hybrid vehicle that can both swim and fly?
Okturi's design means that the sails that will catch the wind while the vehicle is operating in yacht mode can be deployed horizontally on the surface of the water and turned into real wings of a real aircraft. Daring, but insanely interesting idea!
Moreover, the flying yacht Octuri Wind Powered Yacht Elken Okturi developed by order of the princes of the Sultanate of Oman, known for its oil industry. So, there is such a suspicion that we will still hear about an attempt to implement this unusual project!
